Result: 2nd in Group

The U11 girls travelled to the Oakham Netball Festival for a fantastic afternoon of competitive netball, showing great teamwork, determination and improving confidence across the court.
The team started strongly against Witham Hall 3rd team, securing an impressive 5-1 victory. Hetty and Flo worked brilliantly together in the shooting circle, converting their chances well. In defence, Olivia and Annabelle made some excellent interceptions, breaking up Witham’s attacks and quickly turning play back in our favour.
The next match against Stratton Hall was a closely fought contest. Despite some good passages of play and strong effort throughout the team, the girls narrowly lost 2-1. The match remained tight until the final whistle, with both teams defending well.
Against St Peter’s, the girls produced a very entertaining game which finished 3-3. Amelia showed great composure in the shooting circle, scoring some excellent goals under pressure. The team moved the ball well through the court and showed real resilience.
The team then faced Brooke Priory C, delivering one of their strongest performances of the afternoon with a convincing 5-0 win. Willow was outstanding in defence, making several brilliant interceptions, while Maddie was a strong presence at centre, controlling the middle of the court and linking play effectively between defence and attack.
In their final match against Witham Hall 4th team, the girls finished the festival on a high with another 5-0 victory, showing great teamwork and energy right to the end.
Overall, the girls demonstrated excellent effort, teamwork and growing confidence across the festival. There were some fantastic interceptions in defence, strong control through the centre court, and accurate shooting. A great afternoon of netball and a very positive set of performances from the whole team.
