U11 Hockey v Highfields (H) 2.15pm Coaching Games HHC
What a brilliant way to start the season! This fixture was all about giving everyone plenty of game time and enjoying hockey without the pressure of scores. It was set up as a training match, allowing plenty of opportunities for coaching tips, learning moments, and just having fun on the pitch.
We had two mixed St Hugh’s teams taking part, with special mention to Libby H and Olivia B, who bravely stepped into goal for their very first fixture – a fantastic effort from both of them. The girls played against two Highfields teams before finishing with a St Hugh’s vs. St Hugh’s match, which (as you can imagine!) became very competitive and full of energy!
Player Highlights:

Harriet was straight on the score sheet, scoring goals just as she did so successfully last year – a fantastic contribution to her team.

Verity was solid in defence, consistently reading the game and supporting her teammates.

Florence B displayed excellent stick skills and determination throughout the matches.

Bella showed fantastic energy and teamwork, always moving into space and encouraging others.
