Match Report

A Team:  Result:  1-1

The A team faced a tough match from the outset and were on the defensive from the first whistle. Wisbech scored an early goal, but our players showed real determination and composure. Harriet earned a shuttle (1v1) against the goalkeeper and calmly converted to level the score.  The momentum then shifted, and the game became a very even contest. Verity made a fantastic save during a shuttle strike, keeping us in the game. It was a hard-fought and competitive fixture that highlighted the team’s resilience, teamwork, and fighting spirit.

B Team:  Result:  3-2 (W)

The B team worked really well as a team during the whole match especially when on the offensive. We were pretty evenly matched against our opposition but when our chances came we took them. Emilia S scored our first goal and shortly after Henrietta's shot just went wide. Wisbech then scored making it level. Annabelle B then with some great skill covered most of the pitch and scored. At the end of the first half it was 2-1 to us. 
The second half was closely matched with both sides having opportunities to score but each teams' defense was good. Wisbech then scored making the game level and in the last couple of minutes Henrietta scored the winning goal. Overall it was a good match for the girls. Great work!

C Team:  Result:  3-1 (L)

The C team took to the grass pitch for their match and put in a strong effort against a well-organised Wisbech side. Despite the challenging surface and tough opposition, the team worked hard throughout.
Bonnie scored a well-taken goal, and Abi kept pushing forward, showing great determination to drive play towards the attacking D. Libby and Bonnie worked brilliantly in defence, making several key tackles and clearances to keep Wisbech under pressure.
Libby was deservedly named Players’ Player for her effort and commitment. The final score was a 3–1 loss, but it was a valuable experience and testament to the team’s determination and positive attitude.
