Match Report
We travelled to Ayscoughfee for a softball game and it was another great performance by the U11. They pinned the opposition down with a ruthless display of fielding and bowling, taking 11 wickets at a cost of 55 runs to the opposition. Everyone fielded well and some excellent captaincy from April set the tone for a competitive match. In bat, we took the opportunities to run hard and hit bad balls and the difference was in our protection of our wickets, conceding only 5 wickets. Run for run the two teams were very closely matched so this was an excellent demonstration of the value of tight bowling and accurate fielding. Well done to all and here’s to the next game.
