Result: Won 109 v 88
The Blue team paired up with Coco and Emily, who scored 17 in their first two overs, including 4s and 6s.
Pennelope and Edward P who scored 33 with Penny scoring 4s and 6s.
Agatha and Olivia B scored 9 with two 4s and Rosie and Olivia scoring 5.
Copthill’s first pair scored 18 runs, their second 8, their third 26 and their fourth pair 12.
After two overs a pair Copthill were 1 run ahead.
As we still had time remaining each pair were then to bat and bowl another single over split into 3 balls. Coco and Emily added 9 runs, Penelope and Edward scored 16, Agatha and Olivia 12 and Rosie and Penelope 9.
St Hugh’s set a total of 109; so Copthill needed 46 for a win. Their first pair scored 12 so they were on target, their second pair scored 5, St Hugh’s ahead, their third pair 15 it was getting tight. Copthill needed 15 to win from the final over… it could go either way… until two dots, two singles and two wickets. Team Blue won for St Hugh’s and Coco was chosen as player of the game by the opposition.
