U11 Swimming Gala v Ranby (H) 1.45pm

Match Report
It was great to welcome Ranby to the pool on Friday afternoon for a friendly U11 gala. Captain, George C, led the St Hugh’s team and it was a great spectacle watching these swimmers competing in their respective races.
For this gala we opted to swim graded races in all strokes which gave swimmers the opportunity to swim more races and at a level appropriate to them. Overall this proved to be a very competitive event and it was super to see our breadth once again, with swimmers of all levels performing very well. Outstanding performances came from George C, Harriet T, Hollie F and Eme B (who competed a year young). In the relays, St Hugh’s A team dominated in both the 4x25m Medley and Freestyle with our B team achieving 2nd and 3rd.
Well done to all swimmers! We look forward to running our own club championships in the lead up to Christmas. This will give swimmers more race experience and a chance to break PB’s.
