U11 & U10 Rugby v Ranby (A) 2.15pm

The first contact match of the season was away at Ranby School. The U10’s have a squad of 13 boys so there are quite a lot of substitutions. We were a little hesitant at first, but grew into the game quickly with all the boys tackling or attempting to tackle the opposition players. Ranby scored a couple of tries, but then we scored our first following a long individual run from Vinnie - who also earned ‘tackle of the match’ with a diving try saving tackle in the corner. Harvey also scored a good individual try, ploughing through a number of Ranby defenders. There were some close attempts from Charlie, Ralph and Harry L and some solid tackles from George. It was a pleasing start to the season and promises a lot for the remaining games.
