Match Report
U10 Boys:
We hosted Witham Hall in what proved to be a difficult contest. We were evenly matched in our tackling and running skills but Witham were much stronger at passing the ball along the line when attacking. It was evident that most of their team play together for a rugby club at weekends too! Despite this, we did score 6 tries through Vinnie, Ralph and George and there were a couple of very close attempts from Harry; I was also impressed with our rucking. The final score was 16-6.
U11 Boys:
Our first home fixture of the season saw us face a very strong and organised Witham Hall side that certainly delivered the fireworks. Highlights of the afternoon were seeing Paul burst through Witham’s defensive line and making a strong carry, passing between both George’s and Gio. Special mention to George P whose work rate and commitment for the full 40 mins was something to be proud of.
