It was the second run out for our Cross Country runners on Friday at the Annual Brooke Priory Invitational Cross Country. This event is held at Rutland Water and this year the runners faced a new route from previous races. Feedback was positive and the pupils did not seem too upset about missing the long gradual incline home!
Notable individual performances came from Vinny (2nd) who was our highest placed runner of the afternoon, followed by Valentina who bagged her second podium finish of the week coming in at 3rd place. Other top 10 finishers included Beau (9th), Harriet (9th), Georgia (8th), Ophelia (9th), Monty (10th) and Cecily (10th).
Bella had her first run out for St Hugh’s and impressed us all as our second finisher for the U11 girls, coming in 12th place. This was matched on the boys side by Edward R. Charlotte B crossed the line in 11th place as our third U9 girl home. With a solid effort by Tilly (18th), our U8 girls managed to get 3rd place in their category! A fabulous achievement girls!
