U11A Team
Result: Won St Hugh's - 180, Stamford - 140
The U11A team began the game fielding and played strong from the start, taking numerous wickets, including Callan, Tabitha, and Noah. The success didn't end there; when we batted, we kept our eyes on the ball, and communication among batters allowed us to quickly accumulate runs. Arabella hit two sixes to help seize the lead at the end of the game, scoring 26 with her batting duo. A wonderful game that undoubtedly enhanced our team's confidence. Well done, everyone. U11B Team
U11B had a great game against Stamford with some super batting and great bowling. As ever with pairs cricket, it comes down to really fine margins with every extra and wicket changing the score, as well as the scoring shots. This game came right down to the wire and on the penultimate ball we lost a wicket giving 5 runs to the opposition which was the difference between the two sides. A couple of lessons are to run when you can and keep a good line with the ball! Well done to everyone on a fabulous team performance with bat and ball and for representing the school so well in sunny Stamford! We are looking forward to the next game and I also encourage you all to challenge the hardball players!
