Result: Won by 6 wickets
This is a new competition this year, run by Lincolnshire cricket. The first round was supposed to be a triangular but Alford were unable to play so it was a straight knock out with Banovallum School. Josh won the toss and asked Banovallum to bat. Sam started superbly with 2 wickets in the first over. We then achieved 2 run outs to put them in more trouble. Tight bowling and more wickets from George P and Josh N followed. Josh F and Rory P bowled tightly too. We got the eights and final wicket off the last ball of the final (eighth) over with Banovallum all out for 39. 24 of these runs were extras so we need to tighten up on that next time.
Rory S and Josh N were quite cautious in knocking off the runs, but did so easily with the loss of Rory and Sam. A comfortable win by 6 wickets.
