Match Report

Result: St Hughs won by 14 runs

We batted first against a Horncastle Grammar school that had some very good bowlers. Rory S and Euan P opened the batting and played very well. After 9 of the 18 overs they both retired, Rory on 40 not out and Euan on 21.  Toby scored a quick 22, but we lost a number of quick wicket towards the end. Jemima, Will C, James, Max and Fergus all scored a few and we finished on 123-5
In reply Horncastle batted well and scored at a good rate. Josh N, Charles and Euan picked up wickets. Horncastle needed 24 of the last over and despite the first ball going for 6, Jemima kept her cool and we managed to win the game by 14 runs.   Another good victory in what is proving to be a very successful season.
