Match Report
Result: As W 7-0, Bs L 6-4
Lincoln Minster travelled to St Hugh’s on a Thursday afternoon during our PE lesson in order to play two 6-a-side games.
Following on from our Netherlands tour, the girls put into play their additional teamwork, comradery and understanding of the game - our As were too dominant for their Year 8s and, despite a gallant display by the Minster keeper, we ran out easy 7-0 winners.
The Bs had a super game of end-to-end hockey and the parents commented it was easily their best performance of the season as they played as a TEAM. Lucia made some superb saves and Scarlett and Peyton roved further forward joining the attack more. Our rolling forward line of Megan, Alicia, Grace and Ela worked hard and played well as a unit looking for passes. The game was tight all the way through with the teams trading goals until the last five minutes when Minster ran out 6-4 winners. Girl of the game was Megan for her drives down the right.
