Result: Won 10-1
Lincoln Minster visited us on Thursday afternoon during the girl’s PE lesson for a fixture.
We started poorly conceding a goal within 30 seconds as we lost possession deep in our half, although this only spurred us to greater efforts. It was 6 minutes before our first goal by Tabitha. Our second was the goal of the game as a long pass from the half way line to Genevieve in the D was swept home - nice! At quarter time we were winning 2-1.
As Minster rotated some players the next quarter was ours as we ran through them too easily. Tabitha scored another two, Tallulah one, Coco one from a great sweep and Lilian swept one hard from the right.
At half time with the game as good as won 7-1 we challenged ourselves to get other players onto the scoresheet. First was Eliza who entered the D on the right, beat a player and swept past the goalie.
In the final quarter Tabitha scored her fourth and then she set about the task of feeding Lulu… after a number of good opportunities within the last minute Lulu secured her goal and with it a big grin on her face. The final score was 10-1 with Lulu as the opposition’s Girl of the Game.
