U13 Hockey v Oundle & Kings Ely (A) 2.30pm
The U13 Girls travelled to Oundle to play a rare fixture against King’s Ely, not knowing what to expect.
King’s Ely started strong and took control of the game passing the ball around well, however the girl’s tucked in made it difficult for them to score, yet score they did. They scored after 8, 12 and 18 minutes in the first half.
Lulu and Coco were distinguishing themselves well in defence and the the midfield players were putting in a good shift on the pitch.
At half time we looked at some individual and team targets.
It took 9 minutes before the next goal of the game and it was to St Hugh’s as Tabitha slotted to the right of the goalie. Two minutes later we scored our second in a counter attack from one of their short corners as the ball went to Olivia who passed to Tabitha who scored one-on-one with the goalie.
King’s score on 13 minutes and then twice in the last minute to give a final score of 6-2.
Girl of the Game as voted for by the opposition was Coco.
