U11 - Won 3-1
The U11 boys who didn’t travel to S. Anselm’s hosted Witham Hall. Edward was in goal and the defence was Paul, Joshua and Edward P. Midfield was George and Edward R. The forward line was Callan, Gio and Henry. The boys played well in the first half and made opportunities, Henry scored first after 2 minutes, but Witham Hall got a goal as a shot hit the post before it got slotted home. In the 2nd half Henry scored his second on 10 minutes before the game was made safe by Callan 5 minutes later. The final score was 3-1.
U12 - Drew 2-2
As the Yr8s were away playing Rugby 7s in Leicester, the U12 boys were supplemented by the U11 players who had just played. Joshua was in goal and his defence was made up of the U11s rotating. Jude was centre with the forward line of Noah, George and Edward. The U12s dominated the first half but Witham Hall scored two minutes before half time against the run of play. It wasn't until the 13th and 15th minutes when Edward scored two, assisted by George, before we took the lead. With time ticking away Witham Hall battled well and scored a second to equalise and secure a draw. It was a well fought game. Man of the Match was Edward.
