U13A&B Hockey v Witham (A)

Match Reports:
A Team
On Wednesday 31st January, the U13A Boys' Hockey Team travelled to Witham Hall for a fixture. This was our final game before IAPS on Monday at Bedford.
We started strongly with some great interchange on the right between Aydin and Will. This provided a lot of opportunities with the boys being unselfish in the D, passing to each other and creating opportunities at the back post.
In the first half we scored four unanswered goals as Rupert got a hat-trick on the left and Aydin scored one too.
There were a couple of breakaways by Witham but Ted was up to it and kept a clean sheet. We still need to consider our defending but we continue to move in the right direction.
Man of the Match was awarded to Jenson for his great passing and sportsmanship.
B Team
The U13 Bs played their third game of the season away at Witham Hall. We had most of the possession and created quite a lot of chances in the first half but tended to panic a little when in front of goal. Toby in goal had a couple of saves to do and coped very well. We were more composed in front of goal in the second half and scored two goals through Euan P and Charles B, both assisted by Wilf. I was also impressed with Raul's defensive play. Final score 2-0 to St Hugh's B Team.
