Match Reports

A Team

Result: 30-6 W

The girls had a slow start to the game and had to adapt to the windy conditions. After a chat at the quarter break the girls put their foot down and played with better determination and commitment to the ball. They all had some fantastic intercepts and tips (supporting each other well) and the flow of the ball down the court to goal was better. Florence and Sophie had some super shots and took the girls into half-time with a 16-3 lead. Positional changes made, the girls were back on for the second half. Jemima and Poppy worked tirelessly to close down the attack and turnover all. Annabelle found her confidence to put up the shots and with the support of Florence worked well to maintain the lead. A super team effort ending with a well deserved win 30-6. Annabelle was player of the match. Another great result girls!

B Team

Result: 5-4 W

The B team came out strong in the first quarter with Peyton and Megan in defence, keeping the ball out of their defensive circle. Kitty put in the effort as Centre and made at least 10 interceptions in the first half of the game! The girls started out with a small lead of 2-0 but then QEGS Alford came back fighting hard and scored two in the third quarter. Scarlett and Gemma worked well together staying tight on their players, putting pressure on the opposition. Lucia made some lovely interceptions in the third quarter giving us a lead of 4-3. In the final quarter, Amelie and Ela communicated well together in the shooting circle, timing their drives towards the ball when Kitty had got the ball to the circle edge. Overall, the girls played extremely well in the cold and kept up their determination to win with a score of 5-4. A well deserved player of the match went to Kitty who fought for the ball at every opportunity. Well done girls!
