A Team
Result: W 21-16
The A team were first to take the court and got off to a tremendous start for their first fixture. Connections were good, centre pass to goal was fast and direct from Jemima and Sophie, accurate shooting from the shooters Flo and Amelia.
Defensively we applied pressure creating opportunities for teammates to take interceptions - Charlotte, Annabelle and Sophie all successful in gaining possession.
Our transition through court was fantastic seeing the girls implement the diagonal drives we worked hard on last season and linking with attack.
As a team they now need to work on keeping this consistent throughout the game. Fantastic team effort - well done all. Opposition Player Amelia. Great work!
B Team
The B team had a good start to the season. The girls have been working on building connections down the court and had some great moments of play. Megan worked incredibly hard both in attack and defence to force errors and create opportunities. Peyton and Alicia worked well as a defensive team to apply pressure and secure rebounds. It is great to see the girls gain confidence as the match progressed and we look forward to seeing where the season takes us. Well done!
