Result: 11-7 L
It was great to see our Year 3 boys in action on Wednesday afternoon in their very first away fixture. They made a super start to the season and made wonderful progress throughout the afternoon. They became more adept at running with the ball, going forwards and supporting the ball carrier. This resulted in some fabulous tries, with Freddie and Taylor finding the try line on more than one occasion. In defence, Taylor encouraged his team to form a defence line to ensure we did not leave gaps in the field. There were outstanding tags made by all the players but especially Freddie, Taylor, Albie and Bertie. Joshua, Barnes and Edward all grew in confidence over the course of the game and made some good runs down the wing. Bertie demonstrated great agility, utilising an effective side step to outwit his opponent. Thank you to Taylor who did an amazing job leading the team by example. We will be working hard in training to react quicker on the turn over to ensure we are all on the correct side of the ball. Well done boys!
