Match Report
This week the U8 Football team welcomed Lincoln Minster. We agreed to play 4 quarters to provide the boys with lots of match time, but also with the opportunity to discuss the previous quarter and make any changes. St Hugh’s won the toss and got the game underway. The St Hugh’s boys took a little while to warm into the game but defended exceptionally well. An early own goal had the potential to unsettle them. Instead they displayed some great resilience to bounce back and begin to threaten Lincoln Minster's goal line. We rotated the captaincy, positions and the goalkeepers each quarter to provide the players with a fully rounded experience. Lincoln Minster scored some well worked goals and nearing the end of the game St Hugh’s too had some nice shots on target which were saved or deflected away. Both teams played fantastically well and should be really proud of their efforts. Well played boys.
