Match Report
A strong and skillful St Hugh’s Red and Blue Teams were both victorious 7-2 and 12-1 respectively against a team of well motivated Wellow House players. From the start, the St Hugh’s boys were on the front foot, seizing the opportunities in front of them to score, giving themselves a healthy early lead.
Throughout the game, the boys continued to work hard in attack and defence, with just as much hunger for the ball at the end as they had begun with. Teamwork improved throughout the game, excellent passes being played, and loud coherent communication allowed more impressive goals to be scored. With conditions on scoring in place the boys came together and displayed their excellent teamwork to pass the ball around the team to move the Wellow players around, scoring from well-placed crosses.
What was most impressive was the boys' willingness to join the Wellow team and get stuck into the game with them, playing for the opposition just as hard as they had played for their own team. Overall it was a very impressive performance from both Reds and Blues, going from strength to strength, rewarding their hard work with an excellent result and a strong win.
