Team 1: W 10-1
The girls travelled to Grantham on a very cold windy day to play against Grantham, the girls played a five aside match rotating positions over four quarters. The first half of the game was end to end with both teams getting used to the windy conditions, after a team talk about creating space and running towards the ball, St Hugh’s started to pull away, with great shooting from Monaco and Alexandra. Lana stayed tight in defence, winning the ball to give the team more opportunity to score. A fantastic effort from the whole team and a fantastic last fixture which showed all the players development over the term. Well done everyone!!
Team 2 & 3: L 5-7
We played our two teams against one team from Grantham. St Hugh’s team constantly rotated positions on a very cold and windy afternoon. The team played on the top court and the girls did very well to score any goals in the wind. The teams were evenly matched and all gave their best in tough conditions.
It has been wonderful to witness the progress of the girls over the short netball season.
