It was great to see the Under 9 team in action against Lincoln Minster School. Despite a chat before the game about the importance of tackling, we were very hesitant during the first 10 minutes and let the fast Minster players run through us, going behind 6-0! There was an improvement in the next 10 minutes with Bertie, George, Freddie and Otto getting much more aggressive with their tackling, we also scored a try! The score this time was only 3-1 to Minster. The last 10 minutes saw a fantastic effort from St Hugh’s. We ran, passed and tackled with power and enthusiasm scoring three great tries and only conceding 2. Next time we need to start the game how we finished this one!!
