Result: 3-5 L

Wednesday was a first introduction to many of the team to contact rugby after a few short practice sessions with Mr Short. The first half was a touch game with players lying down and presenting the ball when touched. The second half was full contact, and I was very proud of the team in the way they approached this challenge. Joseph F-S fully committed himself into tackles, dusting himself down and then carrying on. George G got in amongst the thick of the action. Freddie S carried the ball assuredly around the pitch. Ralph J-B thrived in this environment; he broke through for two tries but was most excited by a well-timed tackle he made at the back. William B picked up and passed the ball like an experienced scrum half, and Charlie S weaved his way through skilfully to score. A very pleasing performance boys, well done!
