World Gratitude Day and International Day of Peace
The assembly provided the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and express appreciation for one another and the positive aspects of life we are grateful for.
As part of the assembly we found out about three charities, all local to Woodhall Spa, that do valuable work to make our community a better place. Children were asked to think about each charity and what means most to them before casting their votes to choose the charity we will fundraise for this year.
The three charities the children could vote for were:
Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum
Protecting our past and our local heritage for future generations
Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust
Preserving local wildlife and looking after the environment
Shine
Helping the local community access mental health, wellbeing and training services
It proved a very difficult decision but the charity we will fundraise for this year is: Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust
