Match Report
Our U11’s faced Ranby this week in the pool with a large squad of St Hugh’s swimmers having the opportunity to swim. Captain, Josh F, led the team in a land based warm up prior to taking to the water. The pupils have been working hard in Swim Squad and it was great to see them in action, putting into practice what they have been focusing on in training. It was a very competitive event, which gave us great exposure to a higher standard of swimming. The Ranby team was made up of nine club swimmers so we knew it would be tough! St Hugh’s performed extremely well and gave 100% in every race. It was fabulous to see some swimmers bravely attempting more advanced starts and turns and learning from their mistakes. The relays were particularly exciting, with St Hugh’s coming out on top overall, displaying our depth in the standard of swimmers we are producing as a school. Well done to all competitors and we look forward to our next gala versus Tranby.
