Anglo-Saxon Autopsies

On Tuesday it was the turn of Year 3 to visit The Collection in Lincoln as part of their history topic for this term.

Firstly they were given an introduction and then they were told to put on lab coats and help to assist at an Anglo-Saxon autopsy. Then they all dressed up in Anglo- Saxon clothes and partook in some role play.

After lunch they took part in a Big Dig and were archaeologists for part of the afternoon. Then to finish the day they made their own Anglo -Saxon beads out of dough which they were allowed to bring back to school and now adorn the display in the classroom.

A very busy, fun and educational day enjoyed by everyone in Year 3.
