Art Trip to Burghley House

The sun was shining on Year 8 last week when they went to Burghley House Sculpture park. The children have been working on different types of sculpture in school so we arrived early and investigated wire sculpture in a workshop. The children produced some stunning dragonflies. Then we explored the sculpture park itself. The children loved discovering and discussing the different sculptures scattered around the grounds. After lunch we returned to draw some of the sculptures and just before leaving we entered the garden of surprises and cooled off in the water garden. Please do come up to the Art room and see more photos, the drawings and of course the dragonflies.
