Aurora’s Big Cut

Head Girl, Aurora, has been growing her hair for the last two years but on Saturday 8th May she will be having an amazing 16 inches of it cut off to donate to children suffering from hair loss.

Aurora will be donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Despite loving her long hair, Aurora wants to give her hair to someone who is struggling with hair loss to help restore their confidence.

Asked about how she feels ahead of ‘the big cut’, Aurora said:

“I do love my hair being long but I’m also very keen to make someone feel confident in such a tough time of their life.”

Every wig costs £550 to make so, along with donating her hair, Aurora is also keen to help fundraise for the charity.

As a school we are incredibly proud of Aurora’s efforts and hope everyone will join us in helping her to exceed her fundraising target!
