Boarding House News - Week 9

Our weekly Boarding House Newsletter for the week commencing Monday 14th November...

The boarders had a relaxing evening on Monday night, taking a stroll with Lola and Reggie and then relaxing in front of the TV with a tray of watermelon. It is wonderful to have Mr Smith on board and to see him more frequently around the house and school after he completed his first official duty since beginning his role here at St Hugh’s.

Tuesday night was karaoke night. It was a lot of fun! I do have to inquire, though since when was the Nintendo Wii U released? We had to switch to our backup plan after I made a rookie mistake and ordered the wrong disc for the Nintendo Wii. Karaoke will be rescheduled for later in the term so that students can sing along with the lyrics while using microphones (not that they'll need them). Brandon was undoubtedly our best singer/shouter!

We had a well-earned night of watching TV and relaxing on Wednesday. We had apple nachos for supper, which, dare I say it, may have replaced the well-liked bagels with fruit! I was chopping up a second batch since they demolished them so rapidly!

Wow, Thursday! What a night. What an incredible success our first pool party of the year was! The most well-liked inflatable that we had to fight our way past to get to the pool was a flamingo. If you don't want to miss out, make sure you reserve your spot since this will be repeated on Thursday.
