Boarding Update - Week 4

We are nearly at half term and the boarders have been having a chilled out week this week.

Monday night was baking night and this week the boarders headed off to the cookery rooms to prepare a Mars Bar cake. It was all hands on deck to demonstrate great teamwork to get the job done. It smelt delicious and did not last long when they returned to the house.

Tuesday’s sports session was led by weekly boarder Molly R. She taught all the boys how to play netball and showed us some good umpiring skills. Well done boys for giving it a go!

Wednesday was a chilled evening with the continuation of our jigsaw puzzle. A 1000 piece puzzle seems to be challenging most of the boarding staff as well as children and we hope we can get it finished by half term (fingers crossed). The boarders also enjoyed some delicious waffles after their showers and I have a feeling this may become a regular supper activity.

Thursday was the return of the competitive games night and Mrs Costello enjoying a win of a card game much to the disappointment of everyone else. They also enjoyed watching Secret Life of Pets.

Friday saw the return of our favourite game of ‘hide and seek’ in the classroom block. Some children struggled with being quiet whilst hiding and their spot was soon discovered. We also enjoyed some pizza bagels and crisps as our evening supper, thanks to the fantastic catering staff. A new front runner for our favourite supper!

Weekly boarder this week went to Amelia D for being so supportive of the boarding dog! Kiki has really settled into boarding life and loves coming downstairs and playing with all the boarders.

This week we have got our boarding trip to Crazee Bongos to look forward to. Twenty six boarders have already signed up so make sure you have booked your space by clicking here! Look out for photographs – there are sure to be a lot!
