Congratulations to two Year 8 pupils on gaining distinctions in their LAMDA grade 3 acting exams. Grace P and Molly R performed two acting pieces together for the exam, which was taken during the half term break. During the exam Molly and Grace were also interviewed on their knowledge and interpretation of the pieces and were awarded full marks (20 out of 20) for this.
The LAMDA performance examinations allow pupils to develop real life skills including confidence, public speaking, strong voices and good memory skills by learning and performing the duologues.
Performing arts teacher, Aby Kingsley-Parker comes in to School each Monday for private lessons with pupils interested in speech and drama. The pupils are now preparing their pieces for next term’s Lincoln Music and Drama Festival.
