The pupils are now looking forward to their next LAMDA examinations and are studying hard for their Acting, Musical Theatre and Verse and Prose exams.

The following week it was the turn of our musicians to take to the stage with both our Senior Strings and the 'Jazzie Dodgers' taking part in the 'Group Music Making (up to school Year 13)' class. The Senior Strings played 'The Can-Can' by Offenbach and the adjudicator commented on their enthusiastic playing, especially in the final section of the piece. The 'Jazzie Dodgers' played two pieces: 'Cantaloupe Island' by Hancock, followed by 'Strasbourg St Denis' by Hargrove. The adjudicator commented on their 'punchy' playing and the 'confident' solos. The Senior Strings were awarded a 'Commended' and second place, whilst the 'Jazzie Dodgers' were awarded a 'Distinction' and first place.
