Mrs Costello’s Marathon Madness
Well done to Mrs Costello who successfully completed the Virtual London Marathon in memory of her brother, Freddie.
Despite breaking her toe at mile 22, she kept on running and finished in 4 hours 20 minutes with her running buddy, Lionel.
Mrs Costello would like to thank everyone for their support and donations. So far the total stands at £1,714 for SUDEP Action, a charity dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy – it’s making the hobbling around on crutches worth it!
After months of training, this is a fantastic achievement for a cause very close to her heart…
“My brother, Freddie, was an inspiration to so many and was a beacon of devotion and positivity to everything he did. Freddie was a Kitchen Porter at the Hamilton Hotel and no pot was left unturned. His shining energy and light was extinguished far too soon and we lost Freddie to epilepsy when he was only 24. My mission is to honour his memory every year and this year I stupidly decided to run the Virtual London Marathon.”
