National Tree Week

National Tree Week is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration. Each year, the country’s conservation sector, volunteer groups and tree-lovers come together to plant thousands of trees to mark the start of the annual tree planting season.

With this year’s National Tree Week taking place from 26 November–4 December, Miss Reynolds and Mrs Harvey were keen to take part.

In their Forest School lessons, all children have planted their own acorn and learnt about the parts of a plant and the process of germination. Miss Reynolds and Mrs Harvey were very impressed by how much everyone had remembered from Science lessons!

Children have taken their plant pots home with the hope their acorn will grow into a mighty oak tree!
