Oxford University Computing Challenge Success

Pupils in years 7 & 8 have taken part in a new computing competition organised by Oxford University and Google. Over 112,000 UK students took part with pupils in the top 50% being awarded merit certificates and the top 25% distinctions. Two thirds of our pupils gained merits or distinctions with our overall average mark (77) exceeding the national average of 66.

Special mention should go to Year 7 pupil Pippa who, as one of the top 10% students, has qualified for the TCS Oxford Computing Challenge in March which aims “to help talented computational thinkers develop by challenging them to solve tasks with programmed solutions.” Good luck Pippa.
