Result: 2nd Place

The U9 boys had another run out on Wednesday at a new Invitational Cross Country event hosted by Ranby House. Thankfully the wet weather we experienced in Woodhall on Wednesday morning subsided though it was pretty damp underfoot. The team consisted of Beau, Gio, Edward R, George P and Edward P. The course was flat but had a number of sharp turns and narrow paths which meant overtaking was not easy in places. The boys made a good start with Gio and Beau pushing forwards as the lead pack. It was Gio that led this week (both the St Hugh’s contingent and the entire field of runners). It was great to see our boys battling hard right to the end, and though there was a little confusion over the finish line, there were some strong finishes.
