Match Report
Result: Won 8-3

This was the first home match of the season and it was great to see so many parents coming along to watch. I was really pleased to see all the boys putting in tackles during the game and this certainly made a difference. We made some impressive runs through the Witham Hall players and ended up scoring three tries in the first half. It was the first game where the boys were allowed to ruck after a tackle; I was impressed with the enthusiasm but we need to ensure we always come in from the back and make sure we don’t put our knees on the ground when picking up the ball as we gave away quite a few penalties. The second half was a little closer, but we added five more tries through Ben, Rory, George, Josh and Sam.

 James, Ellis, Noah, Holden and Edward all impressed with their passing and running with the ball.

The final score was St Hugh’s 8, Witham Hall 3.
