Having won our regional round at both U9 and U11 level at the School Games earlier in the term, St Hugh's returned to Louth this week to compete in the County finals and attempt to retain their county champion title. There were eight schools competing at the finals, all representing a different area of Lincolnshire. Competition was tough, with some strong swimmers battling it out for 1st place! St Hugh's performed consistently well with a number of swimmers placing 1st and 2nd. However in the next door lane were Grantham Prep who were our toughest competition and it was evident from the outset that we were in for a real challenge against them. Despite performing well in our relays, this is where Grantham gained the points they needed to secure the win. Although we were disappointed to lose our county champions title, St Hugh's should be very proud of finishing as runners up. A huge well done to all competitors. Thank you to Tallia for stepping in at the last minute!
