Elocution Competition

Years 1 and 2 chose a great variety of poems as part of their individual performances in this year’s Elocution Competition. There were poems about dinosaurs, a boa constrictor, the moon, and even how to remember your manners when having tea!

The children had been practising for several weeks and, impressively, everyone read their poem from memory.

Mrs Hillsmith kindly volunteered to judge the competition and thoroughly enjoyed listening to each recital. It proved a very difficult decision, but she finally announced the winners!

Well done to everyone for their excellent effort.
